TREE PLANTATION @ TITWALA

Rotary Club of Kalyan with Paryavaran Dakshata Mandal 7 Gajanand Vidyalaya carried out Tree Plantation of 500 Sapling at Runde Village, Titwala. It was great to see Students / Teachers planting trees in so much enthusiasm. Rtns PP Dr Lalit Katkar, PP Dilip Kardekar, PP Kedar Ponkshe, Harshad Pujara, Shailesh Prajapati & President Rtn. Yakub Bhetasiwala along with first lady Hycenth planted trees. Staff of Paryavaran Dakshata Mandal (PDM) was very kind as they already kept pits ready for Plantation. They also gave training on how to plant tree to all students including all Rotarians who attended the event.

Following their instructions Students, Teachers & Rotarians planted around 200 trees & 300 later was planted by PDM workers and students. PDM has also taken the charge to take care of those 500 trees for 7 years on behalf of Rotary Club of Kalyan and later to handover the trees to Forest Department.Club thanks all the Rotarians for joining with this Tree Plantation Program which is part of our District Thrust Area – Green and Congratulate Our Director Rtn. Kedar Ponkshe for carrying out this project successfully.

“BLOOD DONATION CAMP @ PLATFORM NO.1, KALYAN RAILWAY STATION”

Congratulations to Rotary Club of Kalyan for successful 1st July, 2017 project of Blood Donation Camp at Platform No. 1, Kalyan Railway Station. We collected 150 Units on 1st July and our Camp continued for second day i.e on 2nd July also and the total Units of Bottles collected was 188.

Highlighting Points of Project.

42 Rotarians from our Club participated in this Camp. Thanks to each one of them for their presence & also for making this Camp a Grand Success.
46 Rotaracts had a very active participation, which played an important role for this camp, 18 of them donated blood.

Club also thanks to CRMS and Sankalp Blood Bank for all the arrangements and team work contributed from them.

We had two not out Rotarian Batsmen of the day who batted whole day at Camp without a minute break & they are Sudhish & Mayur. Big Thanks to both of them. Mayur also won the challenge for referring 5 donors to Camp.

Rotary Club of Kalyan had a fellowship - Monsoon Picnic at Visawa Resort, Murbad.

We had participation of 25 Members and it was a great team building and fellowship event. It was a well organized picnic with Box Cricket, Antakshari, Dumb charades, Karaoke, River Side Walk with Lots of Good Food and Fun.
